ABOUT SPTI MADARIPUR
History & Background
To meet the growing demand of skilled Inland as well as International ship personnel in maritime sector, BIWTA decided to build its third maritime training institute in Madaripur and as continuance of which SPTI Madaripur was established in the year 2013. Ship Personnel Training Institute (SPTI) started its journey in the year 2013 near the locality named “Kumartek” situated on the west bank of lower Kumar River. In the year 2016 the institute was shifted to Barishal and continued its activity along with DEPTC, Barishal to facilitate the construction work of it’s permanent building and infrastructural developments. In the year 2019, Authority shifted the institute from Barishal to its own new building.
Our Organization
Ship Personnel Training Institiute (SPTI) started its journey in the year 2013 near the locality named “Kumartek” situated on the west bank of lower Kumar River with the name “Ship Personnel Training Institiute”. In the year 2019, Authority shifted the institute to its new building. Before the journey started of SPTI Madaripur it was unused area.
